We want Studio to be valuable.
We also believe refund policies should be straightforward.
This policy explains when refunds are available, how they work, and how to request one.

1. Studio Brief — $1,500 One-Time
The Studio Brief includes AI-powered synthesis of your submitted materials and generation of a personalized Persona Brief.
Before Intake Submission and Brief Generation
If you purchase a Studio Brief but do not complete the intake process and no Persona Brief has been generated, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
After 7 days, unused purchases may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of careyworks.
After Intake Submission and Brief Generation
Once you submit your intake and Studio generates your Persona Brief, the core service has been delivered.
Because the brief is a personalized digital product created specifically for you, purchases are generally non-refundable after generation.
If you believe there was a technical issue, platform error, or exceptional circumstance, contact us and we will review the situation in good faith.
Any refund, credit, or accommodation after brief generation is provided at the sole discretion of careyworks.
2. Studio Brief + Session with Carey — $3,500 One-Time
This product includes both a Studio Brief and a personal working session with Carey Spence.
Before Intake Submission and Brief Generation
If you purchase Studio Brief + Session with Carey but do not complete the intake process and no Persona Brief has been generated, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
After 7 days, unused purchases may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of careyworks.
After Brief Generation but Before the Session
Once your Persona Brief has been generated, the brief portion of the service has been delivered and is generally non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled working session, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.
If you choose not to proceed with the session after brief generation, any refund, credit, or accommodation is at the sole discretion of careyworks.
After the Working Session
Once the working session has occurred, the service has been substantially delivered and is generally non-refundable.
If exceptional circumstances arise, contact us and we will review the situation in good faith.
Any refund, credit, or accommodation remains at the sole discretion of careyworks.
3. Studio Subscription — $99/Month or $990/Year
Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time.
There are:
- No cancellation fees
- No minimum commitment period
- No auto-converting free trials
When you cancel:
- Access remains active through the end of your paid billing period
- No future renewal charges occur
- Your Persona Brief remains yours
Monthly subscription payments are generally non-refundable.
Annual subscriptions cancelled within 14 days of purchase may be eligible for a prorated refund, less the equivalent monthly rate for the time used.
After 14 days, annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable.
4. Promotional and Discounted Purchases
Discounted purchases remain subject to this Refund Policy unless otherwise stated in writing.
Refunds, when approved, are based on the amount actually paid.
For example, if a customer purchased a Studio Brief through a promotional offer or founding-member program, any approved refund would be based on the discounted purchase amount rather than the standard retail price.
5. Billing Errors
If we make a billing mistake, we'll fix it.
Examples include:
- Duplicate charges
- Incorrect charges
- System-generated billing errors
Verified billing errors will be corrected and any overpayment refunded.
6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Most issues can be resolved more quickly through direct communication.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable law or through your payment provider.
7. Retainer and Consulting Services
Studio products are governed by this Refund Policy.
Separate consulting, communications, advisory, licensing, speaking, workshop, and retainer engagements are governed by separate written agreements.
Those agreements control cancellation, termination, credits, refunds, and payment obligations for those services.

We may request additional information to verify the purchase.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible.
Most refunds appear within 5–10 business days, although timing depends on your financial institution.
10. Our Philosophy
We don't write refund policies to trap people.
We also don't believe in making customers fight for a reasonable outcome.
If Studio wasn't the right fit, tell us.
We'll listen.
We'll try to be fair.
And we'll expect the same in return.
